New Review from tripadvisor on Huella Verde, Thank you Ine for the good review

5 of 5 starsReviewed October 27, 2012 NEW
I stayed four days, three nights, in Huella Verde: very far away from the busy world, just relaxing and enjoying nature at the fullest :-).
The owner Cristof is a really nice guy, who immediately makes you feel at home, and he is an excellent cook: consequently, the food was delicious! The restaurant is clean, cosy and has a beautiful view; the private cabanas with bathroom, terrace and hammocks are very peaceful and comfortable.
The 4 hours walk in the rainforest with the native guide was beautiful and educational; the village of Canelos is authentic and interesting; the cacao tour resulted in a yummie hot chocolate.
I was really really very pleased with my relaxing stay in this special place, surrounded by a beautiful rainforest with loads of beautiful insects, frogs, spiders, plants, trees and flowers.
Very very recommendable!

“Unique forest retreat”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Just spent 2 nights/1 day in Huella Verde with friends, and had a wonderful experience!
The unique aspect of Huella Verde is that it is not an all-inclusive package formula like the majority of the Ecuadorian jungle lodges. You can arrive there by yourself (car or public transport), and you are completely free to choose your activities, food, … You only pay for the things you pick and the prices are unbeatable! We had some of the best food during our trip.
Huella Verde is also a very small lodge with only 2 very clean, spacious and comfortable cabanas which can lodge around 8 people in total. So you will never be there with big groups of people. The tranquil and remote jungle feeling is guaranteed. The owner, Christof, is a very enthusiastic and attentive host who will spoil his guests. He will make sure you get the most out of your visit!
We did a half-day forest walk with a really good native guide who showed us all the medical and other uses of the plants growing around. After a refreshing swim in the river and a hammock-siesta, we went to visit a place in Canelos-town where women showed their traditional ceramic techniques: a special and personal encounter.
Hope to come back one day and will definitely recommend this place to friends.

FROGS @ Huella Verde Rainforest Lodge in Canelos

NEW REVIEW ON TRIPAVISOR

“Two days of jungle dream:)”

Reviewed July 8, 2012Dagmar and Christof have carefully taken care of all the comodities to enhance your stay in the ecuadorian Amazon. There is a feel of love in everything they created. It was great to exchange experience and funny stories with them. There are different possibilities in taking tours...from getting into the virgin part of the jungle to a cacao plantation tour which for me was really special. Get to know it for yourself, I loved it and will be back for sure. Thanks guys:)

Comunidad de Canelos

Vestimenta
